A few tools that every revolutionary should be familiar with:
The obvious... telemarktips.com
An indispensable page for BC residents for the most comprehensive southwestern BC weather forecasting including live radar.
A page for snow forecasts worldwide, although I find it tends towards optimism. The particular page I tend to use a lot these days is their snow forecast map for the Eastern Alps.
A more pessimistic forecasting site for the Alps is Metcheck.
An excellent page for booking reasonable places to stay in the Alps is Tiscover. It takes some time to figure out how to use their pages effectively though. I tend to use the maps on their "Guide" pages, such as this one for Austria to get to where I want to go, then look at "Available beds".
The only way I can ever figure out how far it is between places in Europe and what route to take is by using ViaMichelin.
Last but not least, for every revolutionary, there is a counter-revolutionary.
